Your Windows PC, in any browser.
DextraDesk streams your own PC's screen and sound to a web browser on any laptop, tablet or phone, and lets you use it with your mouse and keyboard. Nothing to install on the device you connect from.
Free for one PC. No card needed. For Windows 10 and 11.
How it works

What you get
Everything here works today, on every plan.
-
Any browser, anywhere
Use your PC from a laptop, tablet or phone in a modern web browser. There's nothing to install on the device you connect from.
-
Smooth 60 fps
Your screen at full resolution, 1080p and up, 60 frames a second. Your graphics card does the work (AMD, NVIDIA or Intel), with a fallback for PCs without one.
-
Sound included
Hear what your PC plays, in stereo, with very little delay. One click turns it on.
-
An instant cursor
Your browser draws the pointer itself, so it moves as fast as your hand and changes shape like it does on the PC.
-
Works on strict networks
Connects directly when it can. On office, hotel or mobile networks that block that, it goes through our relay server, even where only web traffic is allowed.
-
Encrypted, never recorded
Picture, sound and keystrokes are encrypted between your browser and your PC. Our relay can't read them, and we never record or watch your screen.
-
Only you get in
Your PCs are tied to your account, with optional two-factor sign-in. The PC's icon shows who is connected, Windows shows a notice when someone connects, and you can disconnect them from the PC.
-
Updates itself
The PC app installs without an administrator password, starts when you sign in to Windows, and installs signed updates while nobody is connected.

Questions
What do I need?
A Windows 10 or 11 PC (64-bit) to connect to, and a modern web browser, such as Chrome or Edge, on the device you connect from. A graphics card from AMD, NVIDIA or Intel gives the smoothest picture, but isn't required.
Can you see my screen?
No. The picture, sound and your keystrokes travel encrypted between your browser and your PC (WebRTC, using DTLS-SRTP). Usually they go directly; when a network blocks that, they pass through our relay server, which forwards the encrypted data without being able to read it. We never record sessions. Our servers only help your browser and PC find each other.
Who can connect to my PC?
Only someone signed in to the DextraDesk account the PC is paired with. While someone is connected, the DextraDesk icon by the clock shows their email, Windows shows a notification when they connect, and you can disconnect them from the icon's menu. Remove a PC from your account and it's cut off at once.
Does the PC need to be on?
Yes. The PC must be switched on, awake, and signed in to Windows, because DextraDesk runs in your Windows session. It can't yet show the Windows sign-in or lock screen, or click "Do you want to allow this app…" administrator prompts. That's the next big piece we're working on.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes: your finger works as the mouse. There's no on-screen keyboard yet, so typing on a phone needs a connected keyboard.
What doesn't it do yet?
- Mac and Linux PCs: Windows 10 and 11 only for now.
- File transfer and shared clipboard.
- The Windows sign-in screen and administrator prompts.
- More than one monitor: you see the PC's main screen.
Why does Windows warn me when I install it?
The installer isn't signed with a code-signing certificate yet, so Windows may say "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway. The download page walks you through it.
